DEAR ENTREPRENEURS,
The present Business Yearbook comes to you at a special moment when we intensively consider the need for new financial policies and priorities at regional and national level , while our city and region enter a different speed line with their new management programs and teams.
In spite of all visible and hidden challenges of the forthcoming economical development of Plovdiv, I do believe that the efforts we all make: the national and regional authorities, the entrepreneurs, the Plovdiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the local community, will lead to improvement of the business environment and will provide a proper positioning of this iconic Bulgarian city .
We have a lot of work ahead in terms of activating the reduced amount of investments, of starting new projects, protecting jobs, generating employment , which is associated with huge infrastructure and city planning activities, and with a redefinition of our cultural and educational strategies.
In other words – there are warnings for pending reforms and difficulties .
